Game Recap

The Las Vegas Spades had a solid start with the help of WR Antonio Brown, who caught 11 passes and ran for 182 yards. However, Brown had a fumble, but managed to give the Spades 29.20 points. Todd Gurley helped close the gap between the Fresno Fuegos and the Las Vegas Spades with 1 touchdown and with rushing/receiving almost 100 yards, giving the spades 19.60 points. With Sunday night games over, the Spades were down, but still hadn’t had their star QB Drew Brees rack up points for them. On Monday, Brees delivered with completing 27 out of 37 passes, giving the Spades 17 extra points. He helped sweeten the total with a touchdown throw adding to his total of 32.64 points. This helped secure victory for the Spades over the Fuegos.

With a strong victory in week 1, the Spades are ready to take on the Honolulu Honey Badgers and add to their winning streak. With some changes in the lineup for game 2, making for a very interesting week 2.

Matchup Preview

  • With the Spades the highest scoring team in week one and look to be going up against the second lowest scoring team in week 1, Honolulu Honey Badgers.
  • Jay Ajayi will be back in week two after being unable to play because of Hurricane Irma.
  • With newly added WR Cooper Kupp to the roster, it looks to be an exciting addition with 17.60 points in week 1
  • Things might be getting interesting with the Honey Badgers switching QB Matthew Stafford with Philip Rivers in hopes to come through in week two.
