Game Recaps
The Harrisonburg Valley Bees beat the Virginia Beach Sharks handedly in this week’s matchup by outscoring the Sharks comfortably 199.84-143.36. The Bees leaned heavily on their two quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, with each scoring 51.84 and 48.1 points respectively. The sharks dearly missed their second-highest scorer, Eli Manning, who was on bye during this week’s game. In Manning’s place, the Sharks activated Emmanuel Sanders. Sanders failed to make a noticeable impact on the game’s outcome, and only managed to score 10.8 points. Meanwhile, the Sharks’ duo of running backs, Matt Asiata and Jeremy Hill, also failed to prove that they were up to the challenge of outscoring the Bee’s talented duo of running backs, Duke Johnson and Jordan Howard. The Sharks’ running backs only managed to score a combined 24.1 points, while the Bees’ running backs combined for almost twice that number, totaling 51.6 points. The Harrisonburg Valley Bee’s secured for themselves sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the league, while this week’s loss dropped the Virginia Beach Shark’s into the league’s 6th seed.
