Game Recaps (Previous week’s game)

The Memphis Monsters have faced their 5th consecutive loss this week. However, it was a close game and they put their best efforts in despite player injuries. Although Gordon couldn’t manage to rush the ball many yards, he got two touchdowns which helped the Monsters catch up. Rivers played well, completing 21 of 30 passes with four touchdowns, helping the Monsters put up their best fight. Between Rivers and Cousins carrying the team, the other players need to step it up. Hopkins missed both his extra point and field goal in the game, which contributed to the Monster’s loss. The Salamanders beat the Monsters by just 5.8 points.

Matchup Preview (Upcoming match up)

  • Las Vegas Rockets’ LeSean McCoy has the highest points projects at 18.6, which isn’t too far ahead from the Monster’s Matt Forte with 16.7.
  • The Rockets are expected to win 121.34-106.46, which is not surprising considering its 4-1-0 record.
  • The Rockets have Zach Ertz on the bench which will be good for the Monsters because it closes the gap between the point projection of both teams’ tight ends.
  • The Monsters’ running backs are expected to perform better than the Rocket’s with the point projections for the Monsters being 6.5 points higher.
  • The Las Vegas Rockets received two awards this week, Top Player Trophy and Unreal Combinations.
  • The Monsters did not have any trades this week, but the Rockets added Jerick McKinnon and dropped Duke Johnson.
