Megalodons swim their way to victory Week 2 Game Note 1

Game Recap

The Honolulu Megalodons were originally projected to lose in Sunday night’s game against the Harrisonburg Valley Bees who proved to have a promising offense. With the immediate help of quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Derek Carr, the Honolulu Megalodons took an early lead and never looked back. Wide receivers Dez Bryant and Marvin Jones both logged over 100 yards receiving. Bee’s quarterbacks Phillip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers both passed for over 210 yards late in the game but it just was not enough to overcome the Megalodons powerful defense. Jordan Reed also helped the Megalodons with his five catches for over 70 yards. Unfortunately running back Arian Foster was forced to exit the game with an apparent groin injury and has been listed day-to-day.

 

Matchup Preview

  • The Oklahoma City Orioles have a promising defense, but will have to face Derek Carr who has proved himself in his last two games.
  • Carr has quickly moved up to 6th place in the number of passing yards with 618.
  • Wide receiver Sammy Watkins and running back Arian Foster will hopefully be on the field, as they will be up against Willie Snead, who currently ranks 2nd in receiving yards, and Mark Ingram.
  • Along with the lingering injuries suffered by Watkins and Foster, Orioles wide receiver Julio Jones recently suffered a minor injury to his calf in the game against the Sacramento Sasquatches.
  • Carr and Flacco, who both rank in the top 13 in passing yards, will be going up against Russell Wilson and Marcus Mariota, who are ranked at 19 and 20.
  • No current trades for either team.
  • The Megalodons are currently ranked 8th and the Orioles are ranked 6th.

 

Honolulu Megalodon Season Notes

  • Arian Foster was removed from Sunday night’s game with a groin injury and has been listed as day-to-day.
  • Sammy Watkins continues to have lingering issues with his foot, but is confident he will be able to start on Sunday night.
  • No current trades.
  • Current ongoing investigations surrounding Aloha Stadium have given people reason to believe that prosecutors have been intentionally covering up police misconduct throughout the city.
  • The Honolulu Fire Department is currently seeking help following a rescue mission that sent one of their valued fire fighters to the hospital.
  • The Department of Education is strongly encouraging drivers to lock their cars throughout the school day following 5 vehicle break-ins throughout different high schools in Honolulu.
