Las Vegas Sinners Drop Holmes Due To Injury

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 7, 2012 – The Las Vegas Sinners were forced to drop wide receiver Santonio Holmes this week due to a season-ending foot injury. Holmes injured his foot in the game against the San Francisco 49ers and was placed on the injury reserve list on Wednesday October 3, 2012.

The Sinners dropped Holmes and picked up Buffalo Bill’s wide receiver Donald Jones. Jones was the best available player to pick up off waivers and currently has two touchdowns. Nate Washington was then moved from the bench to take over Holmes place on the starting line-up. Washington is a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans.

Las Vegas Sinners owner, Nico Thornberg states, “We are extremely saddened by the news of Holmes season-ending injury. We enjoyed the pleasure of having him as a significant part of the Sinners organization and we wish him a safe and fast recovery. We are looking forward to see what both Nate Washington and Donald Jones can bring to this team, and we are ready to continue onto a successful season.”

The Las Vegas Sinners were founded in 2012, and are owned by Nico Thornberg.  They play in the IFFY Fantasy Football League.  For more information about the Las Vegas Sinners you can follow them on twitter @LVSinners. Also you may email derosakc@dukes.jmu.edu.
