Louisville Lizards Season Notes
Riddled With Injuries: The Louisville Lizards have experienced an injury-plagued season like no other. Throughout the weeks we have had starters and back-ups fall to injuries. Fortunately, most have been short-term, however, they have been reoccurring. Players like Ben Roethlisberger, who was a seemingly promising and starting quarterback has had his season derailed to injury. This week is no different for the Lizards. Seven players are experiencing injuries and will be either effected in play or unable to play. These include: Jonathan Stewart, Dez Bryant, C.J. Anderson, Travis Kelce, Julian Edelman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Ben Roethlisberger.
Poor Choice For Louisville President: The University of Louisville President, James Ramsey, was seen in a photo taken on Halloween displaying racial stereotypes. The photo portrays Ramsey and his colleagues dressed as Mexicans. Their apparel was deemed stereotypical and racially inappropriate by media outlets. The photo was immediately taken down and no further steps have been taken to reprimand staff or Ramsey himself.
No Clear Star For Lizards: The Louisville Lizards truly resemble the likes of a team. Throughout the season they have witnessed exceptional performances from certain players. However, it is uncommon for the same one player to continue to outperform others. The Lizards are proud of their team-like atmosphere on the field, and in the locker room and community. The Louisville Lizards believe football is entirely a team sport and it is gratifying when they are able to win doing so.
