(LOS ANGELES, Ca.) – The Los Angeles Legends partnered with the You Can Play Project over the weekend in L.A. to promote the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender athletes and coaches in all sports.

You Can Play will work closely with the Legends to inform the community about ways to make a “safe and inclusive locker room environment” for LGBT athletes and coaches in all sports. The Legends Foundation has also provided a grant to You Can Play.

“You Can Play is ecstatic to receive the Legends’ enormous show of support,” said Executive Director Wade Davis, a former NFL player. “The entire Legends organization has committed to inclusion for everybody, including LGBT athletes, fans, and coaches.”

The Legends will be hosting a You Can Play tailgate event prior to every home game for the rest of the season, with the first one beginning in Week 12 against Louisville. The tailgate will include free food, beverage, and games for children.
