L.A. Legends Week 4 Game Notes
- Unfortunate Injury- Both Le’Veon Bell and Steve Smith will miss the rest of the season due to injuries suffered in the game Sunday. Bell, the 8th ranked RB in the league and first overall pick in the draft, tore his MCL while Smith, the 11th ranked WR in the league, tore his Achilles.
- Manning Up- Eli Manning racked up a season-high 60 points on Sunday, going 30-41 for 350 yards and a career-high 6 touchdowns, 3 of which were to Odell Beckham Jr. His performance moved him past Joe Montana and Vinny Testaverde for 10th all-time in career touchdown passes.
- Disney Friends for Change Campaign- Disney (ESPN and ABC) and the Legends will team up to host a day-long event called the Disney Friends for Change Campaign. On 9 A.M. Sunday before the game, children from local community schools will team up with players to visit terminally ill children in our local hospital. Participants will receive free tickets to the game and access to post-game autograph signing by players on the field.
- Free Agency Latest- The Legends have released RB Chris Johnson and WR Golden Tate to free agency. In the wake of Le’Veon Bell and Steve Smith’s season ending injuries, the Legends have signed RB’s Darren McFadden, Jeremy Langford, and Charcandrick West, as well as WR John Brown.
- Olsen Shining- Greg Olsen, the 3rd ranked TE in the league, finished with 13.90 points vs. Las Vegas, on 6 catches for 79 yards and a touchdown. He’s been playing 90% of the snaps each game this season, and continues to increase his production in the passing game, averaging 73.2 receiving yards per game.
