Week 7 Game Notes

BIG BEN’S RETURN: After suffering a knee injury earlier this season Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is finally ready to return for Week 8. Roethlisberger’s backup Landry Jones has played admirably in his absence the last two weeks. Jones has thrown for 377 yards, three touchdowns, completing 58% of his passes with a quarterback rating of 93.7 helping to lead the Steelers to two wins. The Steelers originally wanted to bring Roethlisberger back this past week but opted for the rookie Jones instead.

 

BRYANT STILL OUT: Dallas Cowboys star wideout Dez Bryant is still not completely healed from his foot injury suffered in Week One. The Cowboys will be sure Bryant’s foot is completely healed before he is cleared to play, he also told training staff he was experiencing pain in that foot this past week.

 

LOUISVILLE BASKETBALL SCANDAL: ESPN’s Jeff Goodman and John Barr reported last week that Louisville Cardinal assistant men’s basketball coach Andre McGee hired strippers to attend parties at a campus dorms from 2010 to 2014, some of the strippers were paid extra to have sex with the players, recruits and the guardians.

 

LOUISVILLE LIZARDS TO VISIT YMCA: The Louisville Lizards football team will spend time at the local YMCA this coming Saturday. The team will sports with the kids and also help them with their homework. All of the kids and the staff of the YMCA will be given to tickets to their weekend’s game.

 

LOUISVILLE LIZARDS TO HOLD FUNDRAISER: The Louisville players and coaches will be at the YMCA later in November to help raise money for the YMCA facility and its programs. Coaches and players will be there for a meet and greet, and to hold an auction for signed merchandise by Lizards players and coaches. Only one dollar for a ticket to enter and all money goes directly to YMCA.
