Tom Brady criticizes Coca-Cola

ORLANDO, Fla.-Tom Brady appeared on WEEI 93.7 FM on October 12th, 2015 and criticized Coca-Cola, in the way it advertised itself.  Brady criticized Coca-Cola for advertising Coca-Cola as a lifestyle drink and the negative impact it has on children and, specifically, high school athletes.

Tom Brady said about Coca-Cola’s advertising, “And the fact that they can sell that to kids? I mean that’s poison for kids. But they keep doing it.”

In response, Coca-Cola released a statement saying “All of our beverages are safe and can be enjoyed as part of a balanced lifestyle.”

Tom Brady appeared on the show following a critical article release based on his trainer, Alex Guerrero, where he was called a “glorified snake-oil salesman.” In the article, Boston Magazine claimed that Guerrero faked being a doctor and said he could cure cancer and concussions. At the age of 38, Tom Brady said that his diet, training, and nutrition contributed to his prolonged success on the field.
