This is the last home game for The Memphis Blues before their away, two-game stretch in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. At The Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, attendance reached an all-time high for this young franchise, soaring above 55,000 fans. This was due to the fact that the Blues gave away Marcus Mariota bobbleheads to the first 50,000 fans. Bobbleheads went fast and left around 5,000 frustrated fans without one. Many of those 5,000 fans were so upset that they left the stadium before the game even started. They newly elected mayor of Memphis, Jim Strickland was one of those fans left without a bobblehead and jokingly tweeted about the popularity of the Blues and how it is becoming an epidemic. “An epidemic of excitement!”
