Las Vegas (September 13, 2013) – After a tough loss to the San Antonio Toros last week, the Las Vegas High Rollers made it their priority to come out strong against their week 2 competitors, the Portland Lumberjacks. The High Rollers’ quarterback Matt Ryan led his team with a remarkable 49.96 points on 374 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Julius Thomas and wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson made a great impact as well with a combination of 33 points, proving them to be smart acquisitions for the High Rollers.
The High Rollers receiving corps performed much better this week scoring 54.1 points, a drastic improvement over last week’s 24 points. Dez Bryant, who suffered an ankle injury in week one, proved to be healthy as he came out strong this week with 21.1 points; much improvement from last week’s 2.2 points.
“It was a good win for our team today,” said High Rollers quarterback Matt Ryan, “You like to get that first one as fast as possible. It was nice to get it today.”
