BIRMINGHAM, Ala.– Birmingham picked up Free Agent, Kevin Kolb, last week. Due to results of their lowest scoring game of the season, and adding insult to injury, first loss, the Bulldogs decided to evaluate their starters.
The Birmingham Bulldogs have been suffering a poor Quarterback situation all year, so it was no secret how desperate they were for a change. Once Kolb made an appearance to the starting lineup, the Bulldogs found themselves victorious once again. Kolb produced 21 scoring points for Birmingham this week, outscoring backup quarterback Russel Wilson by 19 points and third string Josh Freeman by 6. Kolb’s outstanding performance was key this week in the victory against Payton Manning and the Pointyheads.
Though Kevin Kolb is not a big name QB, he proved this week that he is a force to be reckoned with. The Bulldogs GM went on record to say, “After this week Kevin Kolb has more than earned his starting role and we have ended our Quaterback hunt, Kevin is our guy.” Several members of the team also shared this opinion. Specifically, Running Back Alfred Morris, said: “He [Kolb] really knows how to read people. He knows how to read and play the game to his strengths which make all of us play better. I look forward to great things from him.”
The Birmingham Bulldogs continue to strive for a win and promote happiness in the world of sports. For more information please visit http://fantasy.nfl.com/league/1282253/team/5 .
