CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- In last night’s game Joe Burrow led the way, as New Jersey Squirrels got a victory over Chattanooga Chimpanzees 112.24 to 91.34. While RB Jahmyr Gibbs led New Jersey Squirrels with 20.30 points last week, Burrow paced the squad this week with 29.14. In the 20.90-point win for New Jersey Squirrels, the Cincinnati QB went off for 29.14 points. He passed for five touchdowns as part of his big outing (251 Pas Yds, 5 TD/1 Int). Both teams could have scored more points as New Jersey Squirrels had one starter turn in zero points and Chattanooga Chimpanzees had two. New Jersey Squirrels (7-2, 1,091.46 points) remains in second place, while Chattanooga Chimpanzees (6-3, 927.86 points) stays in fourth place.
There was one player on Chattanooga Chimpanzees that failed to capitalize on opportunities. Despite being targeted nine times, WR DJ Moore could manage just four catches.
In contrast, RB Saquon Barkley helped lead the Chimpanzee’s points (32.90) and had 27 carries for 159 yards and a TD, the second time this season he’s rushed for at least 150 yards. He made a great matchup for the Squirrel’s WR Rome Odunze, as he scored 15.40 points. This was the first week Odunze has had 100 yards receiving yards since he went for 112 against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. This week, he had five catches for 104 yards.
In Week 10, the New Jersey Squirrels take on Paradise Pink Panthers (7-2, 962.04), while the Chattanooga Chimpanzees battle the Baltimore Blue Crabs (4-5, 892.52).
