Panama City, Fla. –
Despite being placed third in their division, the Panama City Penguins are sitting at .500 with a record of 4-4 going into week 9. They look to continue their season in hopes of getting a winning record and being placed on top.
Before this week, the Penguins were coming off a 123.48-84.94 loss to the Brooklyn Colossus. In week 8, the Penguins extended their losing streak, as they fell to 88.40-79.54 to the Chattanooga Chimpanzees as they won for the second week in a row and advanced to 6-2 on the season.
The Penguins were led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, who threw for 326 yards and one game-winning hail mary touchdown and racked up 22.24 points, the most on the Penguins this week.
Tightened, Trey McBride had a great week as he got nine catches and gained 124 yards on the way. He finished the game with the second-highest amount of points on the team with 21.40.
Injuries have been crucial for the Penguins as they are right now without their secondary runningback, Travis Etienne, and now may be without their star wide receiver Stephon Diggs as he was placed on the injured reserve against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Penguins are next scheduled to face off against the 6-2, Paradice Pink Panthers, with a QB matchup of rookie Jayden Daniel and veteran quarterback Josh Allen.
