It has been nothing short of an up and down season for the Columbus Commanders. After starting out the season 1-4, it looked like all hope was lost. However, the Commanders have managed to have an impressive in season turnaround and currently stand at 3-4.

A narrow win by 11 points against the Las Vegas Vipers is what propelled the Commanders to 3-4 and gives them a fighting chance to make the playoffs.

The Commanders today were led by Quarterback Kyler Murray putting up 22.18 fantasy points. Murray went 26/36 for 307 yards with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions in the air. He was also able to carry the ball 5 times for 19 yards on the ground.

Another bright spot in the Commanders victory was running back Rhamondre Stevenson scoring 23.50 fantasy points. Stevenson had heavy volume with 20 carries for 48 yards and found the end zone twice in their victory. He also caught three passes for 17 yards.

Injuries for the Vipers certainly benefited the Commanders on the field. Their star wide receiver Nico Collins is currently on the injured reserve and starting QB Jordan Love went down in third quarter with a groin injury. Love was only able to notch 5 points prior to the injury and if he was healthy the whole time, the result of the game could have been completely different.

Things are looking up the Commanders, who currently sit in the middle of their division after two straight victories. Next week, they will get star receiver Puka Nacua back in the starting lineup after injuries  have caused him to miss the majority of the season. Pairing Puka Nacua with veteran Devantae Adams and rookie Malik Nabers should give the Commanders the scariest receiving trio in the entire NFL.

Expect the Commanders to be at full strength for the first time this season next week as they take on the Silverbeach Guardians. This is an integral game for the Commanders if they want to continue to make a postseason run. See you next week!
