Chattanooga, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Chimpanzees convincingly beat the Clevand Chubb Club 106.54 – 74.96 on Sunday, bouncing back from last week’s loss to Sliverbeach Gorillas.
The Chimpanzees had strong performances from RB Saqoun Barkley and WR George Pickens. Barkley rushed for 176 yards with one TD and earned the Chimpanzees 26.70 points. Pickens had five receptions for 111 yards and one TD. The Chimpanzee’s defense also racked in 16 points in a standout performance with one TD, two sacks and two interceptions.
It was never a close game for the Cleveland Chubb Club. WR Terry McLaurin had an impressive game with 98 yards and six receptions earning 15.80 points, leading the Chubb Club. Another notable performance for the Chubb Club came from QB Patrick Mahomes and WR Mike Evans who combined for 21.56. The rest of the Chubb Club attacking players brought in 22.6.
The Chimpanzees who are 5-2 currently lead the Waterboy division with a .714 win percentage. They also lead the Waterboy division in earning the most points and conceding the least points. The Chimpanzees hope to continue their winning ways next week against the Panama City Penguins who are third in the Varsity Blues division.
