BALTIMORE, Maryland – The Baltimore Blue Crabs bounced back in a huge way against the Las Vegas Vipers with the offense exploding for Week 7 win 114.74 to 76.90. This victory pulls the Blue Crabs to a 3-4 record leaving them only 2 wins out of a playoff spot.
A very heroic performance from Blue Crabs third year running back, Breece Hall is what propelled this team to Victory Tuesday. Hall tallied a total of 26.10 points on 103 receiving yards, 6 receptions and one rushing touchdown.
Key contributors to the ignition of the Blue Crabs offense was rookie quarterback Drake Maye’s connection with fifth year wide receiver Tee Higgins. The duo combined for a total 39.04 points. Maye passed for 376 yards and two touchdowns with 84 yards and one touchdown being to Higgins.
Every rose does have its thorn though as the Vipers defense had a total of 20 points leading the scoring for Las Vegas, forcing and recovering two fumbles and sacking the Blue Crabs quarterback a season-high six times proving why they are still the number one defense in the league. Las Vegas wide receiver Jamar Chase shined on a struggling offense hauling in five catches for 83 yards and one touchdown solidifying himself as the true number one receiver in the league.
To stay in the win column, the Blue Crabs need to continue on this upward offensive trend with players like Drake Maye and Breece Hall leading the charge. While this might be easier said than done, over the past two weeks the offense has seemed to come together as one cohesive unit with the defense being solid all year, finally allowing this team to play as one.
The Blue Crabs look to continue this win streak next week, in their matchup against the Cleveland Chubb Club.
