Columbus, Ohio – After losing for three consecutive weeks, the Columbus Commanders shock their fans with their win against the Cleveland Chubb Club. It was practically a blowout ending with 123.56-78.42.

Quarterback, Kyler Murray completed a total of 22 out of 32 passes this past week. He threw for a total of 214 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Although, Murray lost a fumble and did not hit his projected number of points which was 17.77 and came short with just about 12.00.

The two best players that the fans were shocked by the most were J.K Dobbins, the #1 running back, and Mark Andrews, their tight end. Both of them ended with way more points than they were projected. Dobbins carried the ball 25 times for 96 yards and also had himself a touchdown. He also set a season high in carries this game. Mark Andrews finally came to life after not being used in plays for a few weeks. Andrews caught three of his four targets for 66 yards and also had a touchdown to win the game.

Another running back that should get some recognition is Bucky Irving. Irving rushed 14 times for 81 yards and succeeded in a touchdown. He also returned two kickoffs for about 45 yards both times. Instead of Irving’s projected score of 13.16, he got 18.50 points. His returns helped their kicker, Brandon Aubrey connect with all three of his field goal attempts. Aubrey is only a second year and is already one of the best in the league. He was good from 37, 47, and 50 yards.

Columbus’ best wide receiver, Puka Nacua, is still out and most likely will be out until week 8 due to an injury to his right PCL. The Commanders surprised people this week but without Puka, things aren’t looking good for them. Their wide receivers need to step up in order to have a comeback this season. Jalen Tolbert, the Commanders other wide receiver, did not meet his projected number of points this game and left him one number short of it.

The Columbus Commanders need to get their offense under control and keep up this energy. In Week 7, they face the Alaskan Bull Worms and they are favored to win by a lot. Is this win the closest they’re going to get to making their fans happy or can they actually turn this season around?
