CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Chubb Club saw its two-game winning streak snapped as the team lost 123.56-78.42 against the Columbus Commanders.
Every player for the Commanders scored in double-figures except running back Javonte Williams and wide receiver Jalen Tolbert, while the Chubb Club only had three players score in double-figures with two players putting up no points at all.
Wide receiver Allen Lazard (23.40 points) and running back Bucky Irving (18.50) led the way for Columbus. Wide receivers Terry McLaurin (23.30) and CeeDee Lamb (16.10) were the highest-scoring players for Cleveland.
The 45.14-point loss was the biggest defeat for Cleveland this season. The team’s 78.42 points were the second-lowest output all year.
The Chubb Club drops to a record of 2-4, while the Commanders improve to 2-4 and jump above Cleveland in the Waterboy Division standings. Cleveland sits fifth in the division and 11th overall in the league.
Cleveland and Columbus will both face teams with winning records next week as the Commanders take on the Alaskan Bull Worms (4-2) and Cleveland looks for a better performance against the Chattanooga Chimpanzees (4-2).
