The Penguins Fall Short to the Harrisonburg Hornets

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – The Panama City Penguins have fallen short over the Harrisonburg Hornets in their fifth week matchup. The Penguins now fall 3-2 in their overall matchup. Although many thought the Penguins would have an easy week, the Hornets came ready on their road game in Panama City. The matchup ended in a 95.72 vs. 123.46 defeat.

 The Penguins fell short despite a fantastic performance from rookie Quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels had 14 complete passes and 238 passing yards. In addition to his stellar performance, he also added one passing touching down. In addition to Daniels, Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs, came ready to play with 6 receptions and 82 yards.

The Panama City Penguins must work on the run game in order to win in the future. Travis Etienne was the best running back during this game, yet only rushed for 17 yards and 43 receiving yards. The run game must be improved upon this coming week as they face the Las Vegas Vipers in Las Vegas.

This defeat brings the morale down for the team as they must win in week six to continue to maintain a winning record. The Penguins hope to bring a healthy and dialed in team to Las Vegas as it will be an exciting matchup. The two young quarterbacks will go head-to-head as they continue to show their leadership for their team.

This defeat now brings the Penguins’ record to 3-2. 

Panama City will be on the road next week and will look to win against the Las Vegas Vipers to advance to a 4-2 record.  The Penguins’ want to thank all their wonderful fans for their patronage during this past week’s home game.
