ANCHORAGE, AK – The Alaskan Bull Worms put the league on notice with their 93-point win over the Brooklyn Colossus in a week five blowout 151.92-58.80.
As the Bull Worms run game struggled, their passing game was lights out. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, tight end Tucker Kraft, and receiver Darnell Mooney, all found momentum throughout the game, leaving the defense lost and defeated from the Bull Worms passing.
Lamar Jackson (QB) completed 26 of 42 passing attempts (61%) for 348 yards and four passing touchdowns, racking up a team high 33.42 points. Tucker Kraft (TE) pulled in four catches from Jackson for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Securing 24.80 points for the Bull Worms. Darnell Mooney (WR) had a season high of nine catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns for the Bull Worms, contributing 31.50 points to the team’s win.
When asked about Tucker Kraft’s performance, Jackson stated, “Tucker is the teams glue guy, he’s always picking everyone up and keeping everyone on the same page.”
Reporters asked Darnell Mooney what was different about tonights game, “I felt confident,” said Mooney, “I felt like Lamar trusted me in route running, which gave me the confidence to really play to my potential.”
The Bull Worms defense secured 14 points. Having four sacks, 1 interception, and two fumble recoveries.
Sitting on a steady 3-2 record, The Bull Worms are hungry to face the 1-3 Boston Fourth Quarter, next week, in the state of Massachusetts.
