BALTIMORE, MD. – Baltimore Blue Crabs fell to the New Jersey Squirrels in 95.48 to 115.38 loss.
It was a poor performance in Week 5 with the defense out scoring half the team with only 8 points. It was a tough week for the running backs after very strong performances from both of them in Weeks 1 and 2. De’Von Achane suffered a concussion in Sunday’s game and had to be removed from the game after receiving 2.70 points. Breece Hall was limited due to the team falling behind and received 6.70 points rushing the ball nine times for 23 yards and had catches on four targets for 14 yards.
After being out for weeks 1 and 2 Tee Higgins has made his return and had his first standout game this season. It was a very strong performance from Higgins who contributed 29.30 points, catching nine of 14 passes for 83 yards and scoring two touchdowns it was still not enough to clinch the win.
“We’ve just got to come together as a team and finish those games out. We’ve done it before in the past, and we’ve got to just do it.” said Tee Higgins after the game.
It was the fourth time in five weeks that the team has yet to break 100 points due to injuries and poor performance.
The Baltimore Blue Crabs currently sit in last place after the fall to 2-3 for the season in the Varsity Blues division. Next the Blue Crabs head to Virginia to face the Harrisonburg Hornets (2-3).
