The Dukes Triumph on Senior Day With Victory

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The JMU Dukes outdrew the Temple Owls by a 7-11 margin. The sophomore attacker, Maddie Epke, had 11 draw controls. 

The Dukes had a strong performance on offense. Epke was unstoppable and hit the back of the net five times. Senior, Katelyn Morgan, followed with four goals and one assist. Another senior, Isabella Peterson found the back of the net two times. 

Maggie Clark of the Dukes led the defense with two ground balls and caused two turnovers. Junior goalkeeper, Adanya Moyer, had a record breaking game with a career high 22:47 in the goal. She also had another career high with four saves on eight shots faced. She had a .571 save percentage this game. Sophomore goalkeeper, Caitlin Boden, made five saves on 21 shots faced. She had a .417 save percentage. 

In the post game conference, graduate attacker Kacey Knoblach said, “We just made a point that it was our senior day, we needed to play a little bit better for our friends, our family is here to watch.”

This win brought the Dukes record to 10-3.

The JMU Dukes are on the road April 13th to go up against the No. 9 Florida Gators in Gainesville, Florida.
