Salt Lake City, Utah– The Salt Lake City Seagulls defeated the Austin Roadrunners on Sunday, October 23, 2022 by a final score of 141.98 to 107.94.

The Roadrunners competed well, but their offense was no match for the Seagulls. The Roadrunners’ Derrick Henry ran for 128 yards and gained another 10 through the air, compiling 17.8 fantasy points and leading the Roadrunners’ skill position players. Kicker Robbie Gould answered the bell when called upon, knocking in all his PAT’s and three field goal attempts, including a 50 yard attempt.

The Seagulls put together their most impressive week of the season so far, compiling 141.98 points, their highest output of the season by over 15 points. The Seagulls were the beneficiary of star quarterback Dak Prescott, who put up an impressive 25.28 points in his return from injury. Leading scorer Kenneth Walker III had a magnificent performance, racking up 168 rush yards and 2 touchdowns on his way to 32.8 fantasy points, filling in impressively for injured running backs Javonte Williams and Rashaad Penny.

In the post-game press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin of the Seagulls spoke on his team’s impressive performance in week 7.

“The team’s ability to step up when called upon and come together was what led us to be so successful today. The preparation put in week in and week out by our guys showed on the field and everyone in that locker room knows that’s our standard. We’ll get ready on Tuesday to prepare for Harrisonburg.”

The win brings the Seagulls’ record to 3-4.

Salt Lake is on the road next week to compete against the Harrisonburg Valley Bees, who looks to continue a two-game win streak.
