AUSTIN, Texas – The Roadrunners come off a loss of 108.12 to 142.46 in away game against the Orlando Crocodiles. The team struggled to stay afloat as they were already well behind before even going into Mondays game. Though they fought hard, their efforts did not do them any luck in this weeks matchup.
Wide Receiver Deebo Samual shined on the field this week. Helping his team in the first quarter with a 14-yard gain and then again in the fourth entering beast mode with a 27-yard catch and gain. That fourth quarter play put them in the lead with the hopes toward victory until Orlando came through with a 31-yard gain, thus the start of the continuous lead for Orlando.
A spotlight play made for the team was by Running Back Deon Jackson breaking through defense on a 42-yard touchdown run. Bringing the team, temporarily, into the lead against Orlando.
In a postgame press conference, offensive coach Jackson Reed comments on his disappointment of the turnout of the game, but they will reevaluate and come back stronger next week.
“This games turnout was not what we expected,” Reed said. “We will definitely be going back and making adjustments during practice this week in order to come back stronger and hopefully secure a victory next game”.
The Roadrunners (3-3) are set to play at home against the Salt Lake City Seagulls (2-4) in the week 7 matchup games. This is said to be close and exciting game.
