ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Crocodiles swept the Austin Roadrunners with a 43.14 point lead in their most recent match-up. The Orlando Crocodiles football team played an extraordinary game, dominating week 6 with a 135.46 – 92.32 point win this past Monday, Oct. 16.
Quarterback Josh Allen continues to carry the Crocodiles to victory, providing the team with 40.36 points on his own. QB Allen completed 27 of 40 passes for 329 yards and scored three touchdowns.
“With the week 5 game being so close, we knew as a team we had to work hard together to dominate this week’s game. I am extremely proud of each of my teammates for putting in their best effort,” said Allen when interviewed after the Crocs’ recent win.
But it is important to note, QB Allen did not work alone in yesterday’s game; running back Leonard Fournette played a well-rounded game, rushing 21 times for 63 yards, securing all six targets for 38 yards and scoring a touchdown. Fournette ended the game with 22.10 points for the Orlando Crocs. Additionally, wide receiver Devonta Smith made some promising plays in this week’s game. Smith secured all five of his targets for 44 yards and scored a touchdown.
Fortunately, the Orlando Crocs were not affected by keeping quarterback Joe Burrows on the bench, losing out on his 55.50 points this week.
While the Austin Roadrunners lost this week’s match-up, quarterback Daniel Jones played a satisfactory game, bringing in 23.52 points for his team. QB Jones completed 19 of 27 passes for 173 yards and threw two touchdowns for the first time since week 1.
The Austin City Roadrunners running back Devon Jackson was the team’s highest scoring player with a total of 28.10 points. Unfortunately, Jackson is suffering from a continuous quad injury that will restrain him from playing in week 7.
In week 7, the Crocs will compete against the Toronto Mounties at their home field, Camping World Stadium.
