AUSTIN, Texas – The Roadrunners keep their winning streak alive with 4 explosive players scoring over 20 points for the team, defeating the Portland Porcupines in week 4, 173.12 – 134.40
“This winning streak is only the beginning of the hard working talent you saw out there today.” Head coach Kevin Jenkins said. “We plan to go home and work even harder to prepare for the next game.”
Including the 4 players that scored over 20 points for the Roadrunners, 10 players scored double digits during the game against the Porcupines. The highest of those scorers are Deebo Samuel and Tee Higgins with a staggering 29.40 and 27.70
“We don’t get to see this type of talent very often,” Jenkins said. “I haven’t seen this type of teamwork in any of my years in this department, and I am excited for our next game.”
Derrick Henry showed the Roadrunners another promising week with 24.70 points. Henry rushed 114 yards scoring 1 touchdown, as well as had 33 receiving yards
“I want to contribute to this team and be one of the best,” Henry said. “I think if we all work together as we have been doing these past 3 weeks, we might have a chance to bring this thing home to Austin.”
Mo Alie-Cox had a huge redemption game in week 4 scoring 26.50 points for the Roadrunners. In comparison to previous weeks, with 4.06 points week 1 and 1.90 points weeks 2 and 3. “I knew I wasn’t contributing as much as I should’ve,” Alie-Cox said. “I will make sure that never happens again.”
Alie-Cox had 6 catches for 82 receiving yards, as well as 2 touchdowns
In week 5 the Roadrunners head back to Austin, Texas for another home game against the Bisons. The Roadrunners are projected to lose 105.04 – 115.24
