ORLANDO, Florida — The Boise Spuds exploded with seven double digit scorers to get back in the win column, downing the Orlando Crocodiles in week 4, 155.16-123.32

“Orlando is a great team and they put up a great fight,” Boise head coach Will Moran said. “Our defense played great down the stretch and led us to victory.”

Boise’s defense played great, scoring 21 points, the highest of any team in the SCOM Fantasy Classic. Boise received key contributions from wide receivers Justin Jefferson, Marquise Brown and Chris Olave, scoring 32, 20.80 and 16.70, respectively.

“It was a strong performance across the board,” Moran said. “Lamar didn’t have his best game, and the rest of the team stepped up to support him.”

Spuds’ quarterback Lamar Jackson has been the star of the show for Boise to start the year. Jackson has performances of 27.22, 62.62, 47.42 and 24.06 to his name this season.

Spreading the ball around was key for the Spuds this week. Last week there were very few bright spots in a 20 point loss, but this week seven scored double digit points, including four 20 point scorers.

Jefferson had a bounce back game for the Spuds, registering 32.00 points after a disappointing 4.80 point performance a week ago.

“I knew I needed to be better and I think I did that,” Jefferson said. “I liked what they were throwing at me coverage-wise and I was able to get open and make plays for the team.”

Jefferson had 10 catches for 147 yards, leading the Spuds to a win.

The Spuds head to Salt Lake City in week 5 to take on the seagulls. The Spuds are currently projected to win 120.51-105.51.
