TORONTO, Ont. – The SnowTigers put up yet another impressive performance in week 4, dominating their home matchup against the Charleston Crabs (124.26-76.66)
The SnowTigers saw their first light of production coming from running back Austin Ekeler this week, where he amassed a whopping 3 total touchdowns and 33.90 points. Quarterback Jalen Hurts also continued his machine-like production, racking up 21.96 points on a 204 passing yard game with a rushing touchdown.
Wide receiver Courtland Sutton also helped spread this offense, catching 5 balls for 52 yards and a touchdown. Although the offense was producing at every corner, with even the second string running back (Saquon Barkley) earning a hefty 19.20, the defense struggled, only scoring 2.0 points.
In the post-game conference, Head Coach Wil Carruthers was asked about the lack of production from his Tight Ends.
“They’re doing their job, just because they’re (Conklin & Kmet) not producing numbers, doesn’t mean they’re not producing tape. They have put in the work each week and have done everything they can to help us attain 4 wins in 4 weeks.”
The Toronto SnowTigers move on to 4-0 and the #1 seed in the conference, can they continue the hot streak next week when they host the Oklahoma City Oxen (0-4) in week 5?
