News Brief — Salt Lake City Seagulls Face Their Second Loss During Week 3

SALT LAKE CITY SEAGULLS FACE THEIR SECOND LOSS IN WEEK 3 OF THE SEASON 

SALT LAKE CITY – The Salt Lake City Seagulls were defeated in their third game of the season by the Toronto SnowTigers, scoring 98.60 to 144.70  on Sunday.

The Seagulls were led by their backup Quarterback, Kirk Cousins who completed 24 of 41 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns accumulating 25.30 points for the team. Following that, Wide Receiver, Christian Kirk caught six of the nine targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in yesterday’s game scoring 19.20 points. 

Prior to the game, Cousins was asked about his performance.

“It’s been great being able to play with the team especially after celebrating our first win last week, but my condolences go out to Dak and I’m wishing him a fast recovery,” said Cousins, “I played well today, but I know I can do better next week.” 

The SnowTigers were led by their QB, Jalen Hurts scoring an impressive 37.60 points for their team. Hurts was the third-highest-scoring QB during week 3 within the league. WR, Courtland Sutton finished with eight receptions for 97 yards scoring 17.70 points for the SnowTigers. 

The Seagull’s defense had a setback in week 3, only adding 2 sacks. Luckily, the Seagulls (1-1-0) will be traveling to the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to face the Oklahoma City Oxens (0-2-0) in week 4 with a projection of 108.14 to 99.51.
