Week 1 News Brief 1 – Toronto Mounties

TORONTO – Quarterback Russell Wilson with 37.80 points and Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp with 32.80 points led the way as the Toronto Mounties dominated in Week 1 with a 161.70-133.18 win over the Honolulu Hammerheads. Linebacker Devin White led the defense to 13 points for Toronto. 

 

Mounties QB Wilson was in control of the game this weekend over Honolulu’s Matt Ryan as Wilson racked up 11.52 points over the star QB for Honolulu. WR Kupp chipped in with 9 receptions for 128 yards.   

 

“I think it was just about being dominant,” White said. “We wanted to set a tone for him as a head coach, for us as a defense as a whole. I think it was a great thing.”

 

Overall the Mounties outscored the Hammerheads at nearly every position. The Hammerheads running back core outscored the Mounties by 0.3 FPS and Hammerheads’ tight end Travis Kelce put up 13.9 more fantasy points than Mounties’ Dalton Schultz.

 

The Toronto Mounties are now 1-0 on the year. The Mounties will face off against the Crabs of Charleston, South Carolina at Boeing Arena for week two. The Crabs have an 0-1 record.
