HONOLULU – The Honolulu Riptides made a comeback this week against the Honolulu Chameleons after a 3-week losing streak, defeating them 111.54-108.92

The Riptides were led by running back Austin Ekeler, who rushed 64 yards and a touchdown and received 60 yards, tallying up 24.40 points. The Honolulu Riptides played an impressive game, successfully breaking their 3-week losing streak.

In the post-game press conference, Honolulu Riptides Head coach Marley Guilfoyle stated that this week’s win was led by running back Austin Ekeler and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“We narrowly won this game from the efforts of Ekeler and Mahomes. Despite a previous injury, Ekeler performed excellently and was the highest point scorer of the game. Mahomes made a comeback from last week and managed to earn 23 points, so I am very pleased. We will be practicing hard to keep a winning streak.”

The Honolulu Riptides will be facing the Charleston Cadets next week in Charleston with a projected loss for the Riptides with a score of 87.62-113.03.
