HONOLULU, HAWAII- The Honolulu Chameleons (4-3) take a loss this week against the Orlando Hurricanes (5-2) at the Aloha Stadium during week 7. With the Hurricanes scoring 53 points on Sunday and 34.9 points on Monday, they were able to defeat the chameleons with ease, 211. 30 to 102.44. This loss is upsetting for the team as a whole but will not stop the Chameleon’s efforts in the weeks to come.

The Chameleons Running back Alex Collins had plenty of opportunities for the Honolulu Chameleons, but could only manage 44 total yards on 17 touches. Quarterback Jalen Hurts was not very efficient with his passes this week and lost his first fumble of the year. Hurts was still able to help the team by completing 18 of 34 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns while gaining a team-high 61 rushing yards on 13 carries in Sunday’s 33-22 loss to the Raiders.

Running back Darrell Henderson ran for 45 yards on 15 carries and caught three receptions for 19 yards on six targets against Detroit on Sunday. Henderson’s pass-catching returns were considered to be bad in comparison to the volume. Henderson has been steady if not explosive in his other 2021 games, so it’s reasonable to expect a bounce back against Houston in Week 8,

Wide Receiver CeeDee Lamb had a rough start in the first half but came back in the second in Sunday night’s game. Sunday’s win against the patriots went into overtime with a final score of 35-29. Lamb caught nine out of 11 targets for 149 yards and two touchdowns.  The second-year receiver heads into Dallas’ Week 7 bye with 33 receptions on 49 targets for 497 yards and four touchdowns.

Running Back Alex Collins struggled at the start of the game, rushing 16 times for 35 yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Monday’s 13-10 loss to the Saints. Collins did not have much help on the field because of the large amount of injuries on the Seahawks. Collins struggled in his efforts against Seattle, with this it could be inferred that he was not feeling 100% that night. It is predicted that Collins will perform better in week 8 with improved health.

This loss brought the Chameleons’ record to 4-2 putting them in 5th place.

Honolulu will look to build on this week’s matchup, facing the Orlando Hurricanes.
