HARRISONBURG- The Honolulu Riptides (4-2) faced another tough loss Sunday night falling to the Harrisonburg Valley Bees (3-3). The final score was 120.68 to 147.16.

Despite losing, tight end Noah Fant led the league for his position with 97 receiving yards and 1 touchdown, running up a score of 24.70. Another huge playmaker was Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who passed for a season high of 397 yards, which led to 32 passes of 47 attempts. These impressive stats helped the Riptides continue to beat their weekly score projection every week.

In the post-game conference, Riptides Head coach, Marley Guilfoyle stated that he realized the Riptides fell just short of a win for this matchup.

“Our team gave their best effort and could not have changed much following this disappointing loss. The Bees simply outscored our players despite our best efforts. We plan to get back to practicing hard this week and fixing our mistakes made by our defense to prepare for Knoxville next week.”

The Honolulu Riptides will be back in their home city and Aloha stadium next week with a matchup against the Knoxville Nighthawks. This will be an interesting matchup as the Riptides hope to break their two game losing streak.
