Harrisonburg, Virgina – The Sacramento Salamanders went up against the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks this week and took care of business. The Salamanders won 174.20 to 90.26 coming in as the seconds highest scoring team of the week.

After a tough loss in week 4 the Sacramento Salamanders came out to play in week 5. Quarterback Matt Stafford has continued his consistency scoring another 30 points this week. While free agent pick up Damien Williams got the start at RB and scored a season high 16.47 points and other running back James Robinson  stays on fire for third straight week accumulating 22 points and 149 rushing yards. He has scored 20 points or more for the third straight time. Star wide receiver Davante Adams has a huge game for over 200 receiving yards and totals up 39.6 points this week. The BREAKOUT performance of the week goes to Mark Andrews for totaling up 42.7 points in a massive game with 2 touchdowns and 147 receiving yards.

The Blue Streaks never really got anything going last week with very few highlighted performances. However Derrick Henry was a bright spot for the offense racking up 3 touchdowns and 149 rushing yards. Other then that Blue Streak players had tough time finding the end zone in week 5 which lead to the loss.

After his BREAKOUT performance here is what Tight end Mark Andrews had to say about the game.

“This was a crazy come from behind win, I wasn’t trying to do anything special just help my QB and get open fro him when he needed me and it worked out this week.”

The Sacramento Salamanders currently sit 5th overall in the league and 3rd in the division after that win they hold their record at 3-2.

Next week the Salamanders face off against a depleted injured team in the Orlando Hurricanes and hope to extend the win streak to 2 games.
