Week 4 Game Recap: The Honolulu Chameleons Come Back From Last Week’s Loss

HONOLULU – The Honolulu Chameleons (3-1) dominated the Sacramento Salamanders (2-2) in this week’s game. The end score resulted in 139.88 to 93.

This week the Honolulu Chameleons had some strong players contribute to the overall win. Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the charge by throwing for 387 yards and 2 touchdowns accounting for 44.18 points. Kicker Matt Prater came to play, kicking a 50+ yard field goal, 2 20+ yarders, and making all 4 extra points to score 15 for the Chameleons. 

The Salamanders did not make it easy on the Chameleons, however, Quarterback Matt Stafford threw for 280 yards and 2 touchdowns accounting for 30.3 points. Running Back James Robinson also had a good game on Thursday night going for 78 yards on the ground and scoring 2 touchdowns accounting for 20.6 points.

In the post-game conference, Head Coach Randall Smith said “Thanks to our high powered offense we were able to get the job done this week. Even with Christian McCaffrey going down, we were able to get the dominant win this week and that was thanks to flawless execution from our players.”

This win brought the Chameleons’ record to 3-1.

Honolulu will look to continue to build on this week’s matchup, facing the San Diego Sealions (1-3) at Aloha Stadium.
