Orlando, Fla. –  This week, the Orlando Hurricanes took a devastating 0.46-point loss against the Charleston Cadets at Sonoco Stadium. Prior to this loss, the Hurricanes were on a three-game winning streak and ranked first overall with an impressive 3-0-0 record.

Orlando Hurricane’s wide receiver Deebo Samuel stood out as a skilled player this week, leading the team in points (41.20). During the game, Samuel caught eight of twelve targets, had 156 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns.

We had our chances. Just could have done a couple things a little bit better … we just fell a little bit short. I thought our team really prepared well this week, and that’s what we’ve got to do every week and coach a little bit better and make a few more plays and start winning these close games,” said Orlando Hurricane head coach, Bill Belichick.

“Preparation is everything,” said player Alvin Kamara.

Although the team lost, quarterback Russel Wilson performed well with 149 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 26 rush yards, and 1 rush touchdown (30.56 points). Clyde Edwards-Helaire also turned heads during the game, scoring 20.40 points, catching a touchdown for the second consecutive week in a row, and running 102 yards.

The Charleston Cadets ended their three-game losing streak with their huge win against the Hurricanes, making their record 1-3-0. The Cadets pulled the win late Monday night in the last quarter of their game. RB Cordarrelle Patterson scored a record 43.40 points, the highest out of all players in the game. He passed a total of 348 yards and had 2 touchdown passes. QB Joe Burrow earned his team 41.32 points, the second-highest points earned during the entire game.

This week, the Orlando Hurricanes will play at their home stadium, the Disney Arena, against the Phoenix Flames. The Flames are currently in fifth place overall with a ranking of 3-1-0 and 511.58 points. The Hurricanes are also 3-1-0 but are ranked third place with 608.46 points. Game projections show the Orlando Hurricanes beating the Flames with a total of 131.22 points to 123.22 points. Flame QB Aaron Rodgers is expected to lead the team with 20.16 points, scoring 1.34 more points than Orlando QB, Russell Wilson (18.82 points). RB Alvin Kamara and WR Cooper Kupp are projected to score the most points for the Hurricanes (21.97 points for Kamara, 20.84 points for Kupp), while Aaron Rodgers and Dalvin Cook are expected to earn the most points for the Flames (Rodgers: 20.16, Cook: 19.43).
