Week #4 News Brief: Phoenix Flames are Fired up After Defeating the Honolulu Chameleons

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Flames brought Home a Win against the Honolulu Chameleons, 152.98 – 88.12. 

After a rough start to the season, quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the Phoneix Flames to victory. Rodgers accumulated 32.04 points for the team, with two passing touchdowns and 261 passing yards. Running back Alexander Mattison also had a solid game, with 112 rushing yards and 59 receiving yards.  

Running back Dalvin Cook was unfortunately benched after spraining his ankle during last Sunday’s game. He is expected to make a full recovery in a few days. 

“I am pleased with our team’s performance today,” head coach Marshall Smith told ESPN reporters after the game. “Our goal is to continue practicing and keep the winning streak alive.” 

This win brought the Phoneix Flames’ record to 2-1, bumping them up to 7th place. 

Next week, the Phoneix Flames are scheduled to play the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks at Coca-Cola stadium.
