ORLANDO, Fla. — The Salt Lake City Cougars fell short to the Orlando Hurricanes in their third game this weekend, the final score being 142.12 to 120.02.

With wide receiver Odell Beckham just coming off of the bench with a dislocated shoulder, it heavily affected the team’s overall points. Quarterback Kirk Cousins executed well, racking up 47.12 points. During game three, Cousins had a total of 323 passing yards, of which he had a total of 30 complete passes out of 38. In addition to this, he also had three touchdowns against the Hurricanes.

The Orlando Hurricanes established high superiority against the Salt Lake City Cougars this past weekend. QB Russel Wilson and WR Cooper Kupp had a combined total of 61.22 points, with a strong performance by the entire startling lineup (142.12 points).

During the postgame news conference, QB Kirk Cousins talked about the positives regarding the team’s performance.

“Our team showed that we do indeed have the potential to compete this season. Facing some of the tougher teams in the league these past three weeks just showed we need to work harder as a team,” said Wilson, “given the fact that Beckham just came off the bench this week, we look forward to him adjusting and seeing what he’ll do in the next coming weeks. Next week provides us with a new opportunity to showcase the depth of our team and their versatility.”

This loss has now left the Salt Lake City Cougars with an 0-3 record heading into their fourth week of the season.

Next week, the Salt Lake City Cougars will have the home team advantage against the undefeated Honolulu Riptides (3-0).
