Orlando, Fla. – Orlando Hurricanes scraped a narrow 3-point victory as the Blue Streaks last effort, tight end Darren Waller, came up just short despite a very impressive outing, naming the Hurricanes and Blue Streaks as the second and third highest-scoring teams this week.
Hurricane’s quarterback Russel Wilson showed why he is one of the best players in the league during this game, passing for four touchdowns and 254 yards (43.06 points). Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was also a standout player for the Hurricanes, scoring one touchdown and having 189 receiving yards (34.90).
“There is certainly a lot of room for improvement in every area by all of us,” said Bill Belichick, Hurricane’s head coach.
“The Number One Mission Is To Win Every Week,” Wilson added after the game.
The Hurricanes were rounded out by top tier performances from star running back Alvin Kamra who ran for 83 yards and with 8 yards through the air on three receptions, one of which being a touchdown, totalting 18.10 fantasy points, and WR Cooper Kupp. Kupp had an outstanding day as he caught 7 balls for 108 yards and a touchdown totaling 27.80 fantasy points making him a key cog for Hurricanes’ second place ranking for week 1.
The Harrisonburg Blue Streaks put up a good fight against the Orlando Hurricanes, falling short around 8:20 Sunday night. Quarterback Kyler Murray led the team in points (43.56) and passed a total of 289 yards.
This week, the Orlando Hurricanes will face off against the Salt Lake City River Otters in Orlando, Florida. The Hurricanes are division 1 and ranked second place with a total of 159.56 points. The Salt Lake City River Otters are a division 2 team, ranked sixth place and have a total of 121.68 points from their first game. Game projections show the Orlando Hurricanes taking the win with a total of 115.52 points over the River Otters with 109.84. QB Ryan Tannehill is expected to score the most points for the River Otters, while Wilson and Kamara are expected to earn the highest points for the Hurricanes.
