The Long Beach Sharks Take Home Their First Win of the Season – Week 1 Practice News Brief

LONG BEACH, Cali. – The Long Beach Sharks scored a huge win in their first game of the season on Saturday. The final score was 140.62 to 121.68. They fought strongly to beat the Salt Lake City River Otters. Dak Prescott, the QB of the Sharks, was the MVP of the game pulling in 54.42 points by himself.

Prescott had a record-breaking 403 passing yards in Week 1, with RB Joe Mixon leading the team with 127 rushing yards. 

Dak Prescott spoke to the media after a phenomenal performance, “This is only the beginning. Hopefully we continue to bring in the points and win more games to give some happiness to our fans”. Robert Woods also spoke up after giving the Long Beach Sharks the lead on Sunday Night, “There is always space for improvement but for right now we will take the win and try to go undefeated”.

Other key players that stepped up were RB Najee Harris with 45 rushing yards, RB Josh Jacobs with 34 rushing yards, and WR Chase Claypool with 25 rushing yards. After the game, many players were ecstatic on the field due to their first win.

The Long Beach Sharks face the Honolulu Riptides, who are also 1-0, this upcoming week.
