LOUISVILLE – Memphis Soul was unable to keep up with the Louisville Mustangs this week losing 125.16 to 105.10. The Mustangs had an early lead at The Slugger Dome and the Soul were unable to catch up. This loss dropped the Soul to sixth place overall and kept the Mustangs in a solid twelfth place.

Following the game Memphis quarterback Drew Lock, described the tense half-time chat he had with the team, “I just got up in front of the offense and said, ‘Listen, it’s so easy for us to come in here and scream and yell and get mad and talk about what we’re doing bad. But we just need to man up and when the plays come our way, we need to make them, myself included. I’m not yelling at y’all, I’m honestly talking to myself right now-screaming at myself,’ and that’s exactly what we went out and did.”
Memphis Coach Phil Radcliffe had little to say before heading into the locker room, “we have work to do at practice this week, the guys played well but we need more focus from the start of the game.”
In week 9 The Memphis Soul heads back home to face third ranked overall Albuquerque.
