Portland, OR— The Albuquerque Fighting Turkeys had a victory against the Portland Beavers at Providence Park. The Fighting Turkeys had an 18.02 lead in the final score. The final score between the Fighting Turkeys against the Beavers was 117.36 to 99.34.
In the week-eight matchup, former injured Running-Back, Darrell Henderson, was added to the starting line-up. Although he did not have a strong game as a result of coming out of a thigh injury, he was still able to put up 6.80 points for his team. Darrell had 47 rushing yards and 11 receiving yards.
“It is great to be back in the game!” said Running Back, Darrell Henderson. “It may take a couple of weeks for me to recover fully, but I plan on working hard and supporting my team in each matchup to achieve a victory!”
Quarterback, Joe Burrow, continues to lead his team. Burrow had 249 passing yards, 26 complete passes, and two passing touchdowns with nine rushing yards. Burrow had a total of 33.86 points. Wide Receiver, Tyreek Hill, joined Burrow in leading the team in victory. Hill had 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hill’s total points earned for his team was 26.80.
Running Back, James Conner, also had a great game in the week-eight matchup against the Portland Beavers. Conner had 47 rushing yards, 11 receiving yards, and one touchdown.
The Fighting Turkeys now have a two-week winning streak in their division with a (5-3) record. Will the winning streak continue in the week-nine matchup against the Memphis Souls?
