SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Bandits continue their winning streak after a strong game against the Harrisonburg Bluestone Ballers in week 8. The Bandits were ahead all game with a final score of 186.72 to 166.10 with the Bandits securing a strong 7-1 record.
Bandits running back Dalvin Cook was the game’s star player scoring 52.60 points and rushing 163 yards. Cook also scored three touchdowns alongside quarterback Russell Wilson who scored four. Cook has consistently been a top scorer for the Bandits this season and this week was no exception.
The Bluestone Ballers were led by wide receiver DK Metcalf who scored two touchdowns and ran 161 yards to score 42.10 for his team. Not far behind was quarterback Drew Brees who secured 39.60 points for Harrisonburg after racking up 280 passing yards and scoring two touchdowns. Despite Metcalf and Brees’ efforts, the Bluestone Ballers were not able to overcome the Bandits bringing their record to an even 4-4.
In her post-game press conference, head coach Cece Tyson praised her team for another week of hard work.
“I think it is clear to everyone now that San Jose is a force to be reckoned with,” Tyson said. “We are looking forward to our game in week 9 and building upon this momentum.”
This week, San Jose (7-1) will play the Harrisonburg Valley Bees (5-3) at home in the Earthquake Stadium.
