PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Beavers won by 10.68 points this past Sunday against the San Antonio Generals. With the end score of 96.64 to 86.26, this makes for the Beaver’s lowest scoring game of the season.

Despite the low score, the Beavers executed a strong performance in Week 6, and continue to show promise in upcoming games. QB Josh Allen brought in 16.08 points for the team, with 122 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 42 rushing yards. Tight End Travis Kelce continues show tremendous initiative for the Beavers, with 65 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns, gaining 20.50 points for the team. Wide Receiver Kenny Golladay achieved a personal record this season of 105 receiving yards and shows promise for the Beaver’s offense.

The San Antonio Generals also had some great player highlights. QB Matthew Stafford brought in 19.23 points with 223 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown and 14 rushing yards. Wide Receiver Amari Cooper also had a good game, earning the Generals 20.90 points with 79 receiving yards and one touchdown. However, their defense fell short this week, with -1.00 points, ultimately costing them the game against the Beaver’s strong offensive players.

After the game, Head Coach Kelly Giammarino shared her thoughts about the resilience the Beavers have shown thus far in the season.

“While I would have liked to see a higher scoring game, I’m extremely proud of the effort our players have put in these past few weeks. We had a rough start at the beginning of the season, especially with multiple injuries, but we’re pushing through those setbacks and are expecting some more wins to come.”

This week’s win bumped the Beaver’s record up to 4-2.

Next week, the Beaver’s will face the Louisville Mustangs (1-5) in a home game at Providence Park.
