Albuquerque, NM— The Albuquerque Fighting Turkeys had a 52.06-point sweep over the Honolulu Volcanoes in the week-seven matchup. The fighting Turkeys defeated the Honolulu Volcanoes with the final score of 149.14 to 97.08.
Fighting Turkeys had a strong offensive line this week. Starting Quarter Back, Joe Burrow led his team to victory with 35 complete passed, three pass touchdowns, and 406 passing yards. Wide Receiver, Tyreek Hill had a strong finish to the night with 55 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wide Receiver, Will Fuller, ended the game with 35 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Running Back, Derrell Henderson was added to the injury report for a thigh injury and was ruled unable to play for week seven’s game. Henderson may be able to play for week eight.
“We had a great game this week,” said Starting Quarter Back, Joe Burrow. “Our offensive line was strong and our Wide Receivers, Tyreek Hill and Will Fuller pulled through with two touchdowns. They both played a great game. We hope to have Henderson back in the game with us for week eight”
This victory brought the Fighting Turkeys record to 3-3. The team is now ranked sixth in their conference while the Honolulu Volcanoes drop to seventh place.
The week seven’s game was not a blow-out. Fighting Turkey’s need to bring their A-game for their week eight match-up against the Portland Beavers (5-2).
