Salt Lak City, UT- The Harrisonburg Bluestone Ballers took the lead and win this week in an important match-up against the Salt Lake City Otters with a score of 159.76, the Otters scoring 138.58.
Coming in with opposite records, the Ballers and the Otters have had different looking seasons as the Ballers continue to triumph with quarterback Drew Brees in their line-up. Otters quarterback Daniel Johns suffered yet another loss as he failed to throw a touchdown pass for the fourth week in a row and continues to lack offensive rhythm and energy. The two quarterback’s scores differed by almost thirty points in week five, with Brees at 42.10 and Johns at 14.18.
The Salt Lake City Otter’s loss this week marks their fourth in row, not securing a win since their game opener. In the post-game press conference, Salt Lake City Otters Head Coach said that they hope to gain stronger momentum in week six against the San Jose Bandits.
“We played hard this week but it just wasn’t hard enough. The defense was tight but ultimately the Ballers came to win and really set that tone early on. You bet our boys will be hitting the field tomorrow and prepping for next week’s match-up. Our fans deserve better than this and we know it, thanks for sticking with us through it all.”
The Otters will be on the road next week competing in San Jose against the Bandits.
