PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Beavers walked away with a 30.64 point win over the Oklahoma City Dinos in a comfortable week five matchup at Providence Park, winning the game 128.30-97.66.

The Beavers had an all around solid offense performance that was led by Quarterback Josh Allen who threw for 263 passing yards, and had two passing TDs to help the team out tremendously with his 27.37 points. The next top scorer for the Beavers was Tight End Travis Kelce who had a whopping 8 receptions, for 108 yards and a crucial TD reception to haul in a total of 25.80 points.

Although the Oklahoma City Dinos had some lineup issues, they still had some great stand outs on the offensive end of the team. Quarterback Jared Goff had an exceptional 309 passing yards, with two passing TDs as well as one rushing TD. Without Goff’s 39.36 points, the score line for the Dinos could have been much different. Dinos wide receivers T.Y. Hilton and Keelan Cole also had decent days out on the field, with Hilton grabbing himself 12.90 points and Cole sweeping up 14.70 points.

In the post-game press conference, Head Coach Kelly Giammarino knew the lineups were favorable for the Beavers from the start.

“Having looked at the lineups today, I knew that the Dinos were hurting. Although that being said, we played as hard as we could out there today and I felt like we were in control from start to finish. There are a few kinks we need to work out for next week though, as we are looking to improve every week. This weekend we have the San Antonio Generals who looked lively and we can’t let go of the gas against them.”

The win today moved the Beavers’ record to 3-2.

The Beavers will hit the road next week to prepare for their game against the San Antonio Generals (2-3) at the Alamodome.
