Bridgewater finished with 308 total yards on offense, including two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown, for 41.24 points. Generals wide receiver Amari Cooper provided a spark on offense, finishing with 34.40 points off 12 receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.

The Generals’ offense produced at a high level, but the San Antonio Chaps fired on all cylinders and dominated the playing field. Chaps quarterback Deshaun Watson came alive in the second half to finish with 300 passing yards and a touchdown, totaling 26.90 points.

Generals Head Coach Cullen Kircher seemed optimistic about the remainder of the season in his press conference.

“We performed well on the offensive side of the ball today. We need some stronger play from the running back position, but overall we are producing at a high clip. The talent is there, the pieces just need to fall in place. I’m confident about our upcoming games.”

The Generals’ record sits at 1-3 after the loss.
